Practice What You Preach and Hear

It is more profitable to practice what you preach and hear.

Let's begin this section with a few questions. If you are a preacher, do you practice what you preach and hear?

I want to thank God for this opportunity, for I thought I won't be ministering today due to an unpleasant incident that occurred. But thanks to the merciful and gracious God.

To start up briefly, I would love to say these:

"Though the word of God contains the promises of God, it also contains processes. The best way to access the blessings of God is by applying His word."

Do You Practice What You Preach and Hear?

Jesus Christ in one of His teachings, addressed something that took my attention as the Lord has placed it in my heart for me to share this with the world.

Matthew 5:19 "Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

It always saddens my heart to find myself ministering God's word, and being a victim of His commands.

It becomes worse when we teach people to do it the way we do, when it's not inline with what God says. Certainly, it profits nothing but demotion.

My very concern for today is where we preach and fail to practice, that's where we fail to profit.

The preaching of God's word is purposely to profit both the preacher and the listener, but when we don't practice what we preach; we exclude ourselves from the list of beneficiaries, since we don't get to gain.

Practice What You Preach and Hear?

Those who profit are those who practice, that's why many hear the promises and blessings, but because they don't key into it by faith; they don't get in.

The word of God takes effect in the affairs of those who apply it in their lives.

James 1:25 says, "But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed."

There is profit in preaching as well as listening, both you can't access the blessings if you don't apply the knowledge that is preached or listened to.

Better still, let it be God's word that you are promoting in the knowledge of Christ.

Stay safe and be blessed.
